Institute of Cooperative Management Madurai in collaboration with Directorate of General Resettlement, Ministry of Defense, Govt. of India New Delhi has organized 12 Weeks Course in Certificate Course in Book Keeping and Account using Tally from 08.05.2023 to 28.07.2023 at ICM, Madurai campus. In this Programme 16 participants from Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare participated in this programme

These 12 weeks Diploma Course has 5 papers including Financial Accounting, Tally Theory, Financial Statement Analysis, Fundamentals of Computers and Internet Applications, Tally Practicals and Viva Voce respectively. The Methodology used in this course is Classroom discussions, Case studies, Group discussions, Power Point Presentations, Field Visits, etc. The main course objectives are

I.To enable the learners to know the basic concepts of Book Keeping.
II.To understand the steps for preparing Financial Accounting.
III.To prepare financial statements of trading concerns.
Iv.To make critical evaluation of financial statements through ratio analysis and cash flow statement
v.To apply Tally Package in accounts maintenance

Also, in 2022, 12 Weeks Course in Certificate Course in Sales Management from 18.07.2022 to 07.10.2022 at ICM, Madurai campus. In this Programme 40 participants from Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare participated in this programme.

These 12 weeks Diploma Course has 8 papers including Principles of Marketing, Advertisement Management, Sales Distribution Management, Consumer Behavior, Supply Chain Management, Internal Marketing, MIS, and Project - Viva Voce respectively. The Methodology used in this course is Classroom discussions, Case studies, Group discussions, Power Point Presentations, Field Visits, etc. The main course objectives are

I.To develop conceptual and applied knowledge relevant to sales management.
II.To develop decision making skills of supervision of sales office.
III.To understand the different types of sales organizations, their role and responsibilities undertaken by each type.
